Order the full-year “At-a-Glance” paper wall calendar from Amazon.
Hang it where you’ll see it daily.
Decide what action/activity you would most like to accomplish every day.
Make a big “X” on the calendar each day that you do it.
Try to create big chains of X’s.
I read somewhere that this is how Jerry Seinfeld makes himself write. Since hanging my calendar eight days ago, I’ve already written more than I had in the last two months. If you try it, let me know how it works out.
Love this! Very helpful!
Oh, good. It’d be interesting to know if this accountability method works for all 4 personality types Gretchen Rubin identified–Upholders, Questioners, Obligers and Rebels–or is it really just Upholders who would have success with it? Maybe there’s decreasing effectiveness with the other 3 types.
Okay I’ll try it! I’m a procrastinator, so I don’t know which category I fit into. But it sounds simple enough to give it a try. My “X” will be clearing out my clutter. Also, I think this would work REALLY well for my husband. Thanks!!
I’m not sure which type you are either! I can see a little of each in you. Here’s the diagram of the personality types identified by Gretchen Rubin. In case it’s not obvious, “outer expectations” = your obligations to others. http://gretchenrubin.com/happiness_project/2015/10/upholders-questioners-obligers-rebels/
