If you, too, need a fire under your ass, constantly

It’s scary, creating work and putting it out into the world, and I am always coming up with new ways to waste time, to avoid feeling that discomfort. So, I’ve purposefully made positivity and inspiration a part of my daily routine. I work out first thing in the morning, when my resistance to it is lowest, and while I’m doing that, I play a video or two from Marie Forleo, Seth Godin, or Gary Vaynerchuk. They’re like cattle prods, stimulating you to ACT. And they help fill your brain with thoughts of what you want, not what you don’t want.

Following is a link to what I think is Marie Forleo’s best video (and they’re all good). It’s called “How to Get Anything You Want.” You have to give up your email address, but she doesn’t abuse it. Marie is sometimes corny, but it’s just one of many traits that make her lovable. (You will likely want to fork over $2K to attend her online B-school. I haven’t done it, but I’m always really tempted.) I have followed her for so long now, I think of her as a friend. I just reread that last line and it sounds nuts. If you go to her site and don’t know where to start, watch the “How to Get Anything You Want” video, or her latest interview (from October or November 2020) with Seth Godin in the MarieTV library.
